Maison&Objet - January 2018

Paris, January 2018: at M&O the chic and ironic mood of GHIDINI1961 explores, among others, the stationery trend

A material with many facets: that of light striking the surface, highlighting the refinement of the product, but also the symbolic ones, of design objects able to sustain the macro scale of furnishings to that of the micro complements. This is brass interpreted by GHIDINI1961. At the Parisian appointment of M&O, the new proposals deal with desk and table accessories. This follows one of the latest trends in the field: the ͞Omini͟ designed by Stefano Giovannoni are now multiplied and offer an opportunity to set up an "informal arrangement͟ for the dining table (such as with the new candlesticks) or to decorate a workstation with holders for pencils, business cards, paper clips, adhesive tape and smartphones. These objects do not just satisfy a criteria of "service", but fulfill the idea of beauty and preciousness. Furthermore, there will be the introduction of the revisited version of the Butterfly coatrack by Richard Hutten, where the butterfly shaped hooks have been re-dimensioned to enhance usability without diminishing the poetic appearance. Also, the Mio table lamp by Aldo Cibic will be introduced, now proposed in the one light version.
